Gary and I had a lot in common. We both loved movies, theater, and poetry. When I first took an interest in poetry in high school, Gary did what he always did -- he taught me. He sat down and taught me one of his favorite e.e. cummings poems. [The poem I am about to read-- To Be of Use by Marge Piercy] was one of Gary's favorites and it is easy to see why. It speaks about doing work because it must be done and loving those who commit to this work.
